The Classic Z Configuration

This beautifully classic door would make a welcome addition to anyones home. Made from reclaimed barn wood each custom barn door is unique and inviting.

The classic Z styling used in construction was primarily for added strength and support to many different types of structures. Wooden chests, doors and panels were given a classic overlay of the Z configuration to avoid warping. This particular Z custom barn door is a classic style and represents a practical yet aesthetically pleasing decor.

Custom Classic Pine Barn DoorThis particular custom barn door pair was constructed from salvaged 100 year old heart pine. This old lumber has stood the test of time and is now in a new forever home where it will hopefully stand for another hundred years.

This classic design is also very appealing because of its clean straight lines and the warm tones of the old heart pine that was used.

Solid, rugged, sturdy. These doors will last a lifetime!

Rustic Farmhouse Beauty

For many it’s not just the rustic beauty that these custom barn doors possess, it’s the history or the heritage. A truly authentic aged, salvaged or reclaimed barn door is so much more special with all the nicks and cuts, knot holes and nails, especially if you’ve salvaged it from an old barn where you may have rolled in the hay as a kid!

Authentic Barn DoorWoodworking with reclaimed and salvaged lumber is a great way to lend some authentic Americana to a DIY project. “Weathered” is not a look that is easily faked. When done wrong, it just looks terrible. On the other hand, genuine patina not only adds aesthetic value to a piece, it can also provide a protective covering to material that might otherwise be damaged. From modern industrial designs to country farmhouse style, reclaimed timbers can do it all with style and grace. These were just a few examples of Custom and DIY Upcycle and Repurpose Projects For Salvaged and Reclaimed Building Materials.
