Nathan Yewell, aka ‘Red Beard’ aka Nate, is a veteran member of the Eco Relics team. He serves as one of our warehouse managers and is one of the first persons you see when you enter the warehouse. He always greets our customers with a courteous welcome and a great big smile. If there was one person who didn’t need to wear a name tag at Eco Relics, it would be Nate. He embodies our tightly woven team culture!

Nate came to Eco Relics not long after we opened our doors and soon became one of our warehouse managers. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the building materials business, as well as an extensive background in general construction and can cite for our customers the history and price of practically everything we have in our warehouse.
We often have company parties and Nate is always there with a joke and a smile.

As well as having backgrounds in construction and building materials, Nate is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, giving him a unique perspective on our loyal local customers. He can strike up a conversation with whoever walks through our doors.
Nate can often be found having a few laughs with other team members Billy Leeka and Parker Burrer.

In his spare time Nate collects, swaps and sells classic trucks and bikes, enjoys live music and retro gaming. When asked about his bio, he jokingly said “I like long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners and drinking piƱa coladas in the rain.” Say’s he can play a mean tic-tac-toe.

Hurricane Irma was an extremely powerful and catastrophic Cape Verde-type hurricane, the strongest observed in the Atlantic in terms of maximum sustained winds since Wilma and the strongest storm on record to exist in the open Atlantic region. After the storm struck NE Florida, most of downtown Jacksonville was flooded. Nate and some of his friends went down there to see the damage first hand, in a canoe.

USGBC Northeast Florida’s annual Green Lion Festival (GLF) welcomes businesses and organizations of all sizes to share their best ideas in sustainability, social responsibility and the environment. Eco Relics participates in the festival every year. In 2017, Nate and Billy were among the crew that manned our tent. It appears Nate made a new friend!

Nate contends that he truly loves working with and for the success of small businesses, and that attitude shows in everything he does here at Eco Relics.

The next time you happen to stop by Eco Relics, be sure and say Hi to Nate, I’m sure he’d appreciate it!
