At Eco Relics we take pride in all our custom creations built with reclaimed lumber and other materials, which is an environmentally-friendly option. Our Rugged, Rustic Round Tables From Reclaimed Lumber are built to the size and dimensions that you need using lumber that was salvaged from a variety of sources. A reclaimed lumber table is sure to add character to your home or office.
All of our custom tables and farm tables are built from authentic salvaged or reclaimed wood. We build our tables with lumber that we have either salvaged from old barns, historical houses, tobacco barns and farmhouses or have obtained through reclamation. Most of our wood is over 100 years old and mill sawn or “circle sawn”. The old growth trees that were cut down at the turn of the century were milled with huge circular saw blades creating those striking rounded etchings that you see in the wood. Some of our wood is known as “sinker” lumber, or has been resting at the bottom of a pond or river and has a very unique appearance.
The Custom Round top table depicted here was built using salvaged oak rail-car dunnage boards. In construction, dunnage is often scrap wood or disposable material which is placed on the ground to raise construction materials off the ground to allow access for forklifts and slings for hoisting, and to protect it from the elements.
Reclaimed lumber makes any environment, home or office, look stunning. While aesthetically unique, the other benefit of using reclaimed lumber is that you’re making a conscious decision to be eco friendly.
The reclaimed lumber we get comes from a variety of sources, including shipping pallets and packing crates. Each piece tells the story of its previous life, often marked by scratches, color variations, stains, repair patches and natural imperfections that only add to its beauty.
Rustic meets relaxed. Made from reclaimed lumber, it bears the knots and natural flaws that make every table subtly unique. Reclaimed lumber almost always comes with some sort of history too. We can usually tell our customers where all our reclaimed lumber comes from. This can often be terrific conversation starters!
