Our custom crafstman, Parker Burrer was recently asked to make a sign for one of our customers. Our customer wanted to make a special sign just for his father to hang in his Man Cave. But this sign has a rather funny story behind it.

The young man came to Parker with this story of when he was growing up. His father kept a well stocked pantry. He would stock the freezer with lots and lots of meat, a pantry full of staples, and a small store house of beer and liquor. For years, the young boy and his friends would routinely ‘borrow’ all the liquor and steaks that they thought they could get away with. Pop never noticed, or at least he never said so.

Years went by, the boy grew up, moved away and went off to college, off into the world. However, some of the young mans friends continued to visit Pop for their regular ‘shopping’ sprees! When the ol’ fella caught them, they told him how they’d been doing it for years and really thought that he was OK with it.

Upon returning home to visit his Pop, the young man found that all of the pantries and store rooms were now all locked down and only Pop had the keys! When he asked his dad what was going on, Pop told him what had happened with his friends, and after some tense moments and honest confessional, they both had a good laugh. Pop still didn’t give the young man a key to the bounty.
